Why is Connected the right school for your child?
Not all children's martial arts programs are created alike.
When it comes to deciding which martial arts school is best for your child, three things are important to consider: the reputation and quality of a school, its instructors, and its environment. Connected exceeds expectations on all three points:
Casey Van Brookhoven ("Mr. Casey") is the owner and head instructor of Connected Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Martial Arts in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Mr. Casey holds a 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, the title of Kru in Muay Thai, and a black belt in karate. For more information on Mr. Casey's credentials and background, please visit www.caseyvanbrookhoven.com. In addition to Mr. Casey, all other karate instructors are black belts as well.
The curriculum at Connected was also created to grow along with your child. Preschoolers start in the introductory Little Dragons program. The children's karate program is broken out by three class levels for children ages 5 and up. As they advance through karate, they'll have the option to begin learning Muay Thai and/or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Parent testimonials say it best, as do the number of families who are referred to Connected by friends and family. Mr. Casey has also been asked to speak at several local elementary schools about martial arts and the topics of discipline and respect.
Clean, Friendly, & Positive Environment.
Students are encouraged and rewarded through positive reinforcement. They are taught the importance of respect, discipline, and self-control from even the simplest of interactions with their instructor. All areas of the school, including not just the mat room, but also the lobby, changing room, and bathroom, are immaculate and cleaned on a regular basis.
